The file upload facility in Inrax is used in content management to load material for the web site. Such material might be images, plain text or formatted html.
Files are uploaded into a user defined directory structure to which permssions are assigned. This allows the user to design a workflow for the content management, if desired.
For example a directory with write permission for a wide variety of users might be used to collect material from contributors. The material may then be moved to another directory unavailable to contributors by an editor for checking and refinement. Finally it might be moved to a third directory holding live published material for the web site. Articles and article categories achieve a similar effect, but sometimes it is more convenient to work with files directly.
